Second break lost after 4 deuces, 1-5*

And thus, the set, 1-6

Johanna started very slowly and got noticeably better, but still seems a fair distance from really being competitive here.

Second set and playing better still (judging from the # points won and pressure on the opponents serve), but same result early; a break against, 1-2*

Another follows, 1-4*

But in response Johanna secures her first break, *2-4

And, now showing good fight, a second break for Johanna levels it up! *4-4 (All that despite only serving at 27% to her opponents 72%!)

JK holds her service game after nine deuces! 5-4*

And a third consecutive break, this time to love, takes the set 6-4.

Having been down 1-4*, and serving 7 DF's in the set, that's a great effort.

Come on, keep it going in the final set.

Ack! Match suspended - heat.
Just as Johanna was on top. Hopefully she'll come out after the delay with the belief that saw her come through that second set.

All the other courts, men and women, are stil playing though!

Really rather exciting now, as Johanna takes a *2-0 lead in the decider.

Sema ends a run of 7 straight games for Johanna, to break, and now back on serve, 2-1*

Johanna strikes back immediately after a four deuce game, *3-1.

This is good stuff now - from what I can interpret from the live score anyway

Back on serve, 4-3*

Yes, This is a marathon of attrition now in 31°C and 76% humidity; 2h 50m and counting.

Holding serve for both girls is, umm... problematic.

Sema held in a six deuce game for *4-2.

JK then had *40-0 but lost the next 4 points, DF twice at deuce, eventually losing from the 12th deuce, in a game that lasted about 19 minutes! (By the match clock, allowing for the apparaent scores freeze)

Jo also serving more than 1.25 DF per game throughout the match

But no! After 3h 10 minutes Johanna still fighting and breaks back to love, *5-5

I can't take much more of this, my nails are shredded.

Aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!

DF #17 gives the break straight back. Hard to beat an opponent 100 places higher than you if you're giving away almost a set for free!

Johanna is down for court 3. Alexandra Stevenson - that one time Wimbledon Semi-finalist - is on currently, then an ATP match, then Johanna. Might be a bit later than 20:00?

Be nice to see her play. Tough draw though.
