Yes, that was a pretty good quality match by the end. The crowd seem to like Heather a lot as well (she got a much bigger cheer than Wickmayer at the finish)
Another great performance by Heather, Wickmayer was poor in the first set, but really stepped it up in the second and third. Hev responded and played her best tennis in the third and was really close to turning the match back in her favour at the end. Starting to hit more winners which is going to be vital as she moves into the top 50, and of course she needs to continue to serve well. Wicky is 20 on the race so back playing better tennis this year, so a very good yardstick.
Yes - much further than in the singles at this stage of their careers. Getting the doubles slot rather than the singles could be a blessing in disguise.
