L32: Jack Carpenter WR 914 v (WC) James Junior Storme (BEL) UNR

The winners of the first two matches shown will meet in R2. All H2Hs 0-0 but Storme lost 1&3 to Jonny O'Mara in a junior tournament in Italy in May, though he managed to take a set off higher-ranked GB junior Luke Bambridge in Mexico last year.

Alex Ward would have been one of the top seeds here but must have withdrawn at the last moment, presumably his elbow injury still not right.

The results of today's matches turned out the opposite way to what I expected:

L32: (4) Dan Smethurst WR 401 lost to Jakub Lustyk (CZE) WR 1345 (ex-top 700) by 2 & 5 bleh
L32: James Feaver WR 834 beat Laslo Urrutia Fuentes (CHI) WR 825 by 7-5 4-6 6-1 biggrin
