Well done Tara. At least it looks like that wimbledon collapse hasn't affected her ability to close out matches.

Tara's match hadn't appeared on live scores nearly an hour after it was meant to start and then the next time I looked, it showed her in a 1st set tiebreak, 0-3 down. Since then, the score hasn't changed at all but the score in the other match has, so I'm not sure whether one of the players retired or live scores are just glitchy today.

Just checked back again - still no change then suddenly it goes from 0-3 in the tiebreak to 2-3 ... then flips to 4-7 .... then to 4-6.

Random scores R us ... confuse

Now it says Tara is 6-7(4) *0-1 down. Sadly, that's probably the real score.

At least Tara did better than the 3rd seed who went down 2 and 1 to the same player. It looks as if Federica may be under ranked.

I do think she has found some reasonably consistent form in the last couple of months compared to earlier in the year. Hopefully she can maintain a good level and get herself into the top 300.
