in fact Josh has bene pretty lucky with wimby draws, here are his Main draw match ups:
Alessio Di Mauro (ITA) 93 Melle Van Gemerden (NED) 106 Feliciano Lopez (ESP) 78 Michael Llodra (FRA) 137
Add in Zemlja and only 2/5 have been inside the top 100 and none top 75 (ok even if Llorda and Lopez were probably under ranked). that's got to be great odds for a slam.
Just to comapre to Boggo with his numerous WC's, only 1 was outside the top 75 and 3 were top 20!

erm why does joshs draw get a blurgh? getting a fellow WC at a slam (yes even one who won a grass challenger) is pretty sweet. Andreev for Oli not too bad either.

Because of the disparity in the rankings & my total lack of faith in our boys' ability to overcome such apparent adversity (as opposed to my fervent hope that they will somehow, against all the odds, find a way... ).
I'm not sure why SC is so unhappy with 4 of those draws either, even if we can't expect them all to get through! Adding CHs and H2Hs:
L128: (WC) Josh Goodall WR 220 v (WC) Grega Zemlja (SLO) WR 119 (CH 110 in Jan)
H2H is 1-0 to Josh, who beat Zemlja 5 & 6 in Zagreb Fut. QFs in 2008
L128: (WC) Oli Golding WR 485 v Igor Andreev (RUS) WR 92 (CH 18 in 2008)
Like Andy (whose match is covered in more detail on the thread in the AM section), Oli has drawn a Russian on the wane who was never that good at Wimbledon. That doesn't mean I expect him to win, but he must have an outside chance.
L128: (WC) Jamie Baker WR 200 v (30) Andy Roddick (USA) WR 33 (CH in 2003)
Again, a player on the wane, but definitely not a nice draw, and hard to see Jamie stopping his Wimbledon main draw record going to 0-5.
L128: (WC) James Ward WR 173 vs Pablo Andújar (ESP) WR 36 (= CH)
H2H is 0-2 but both were on clay and the last (at RG Q in 2010) went to 3 sets. Andújar last won R1 at Wimbledon in 2007.

Don't tell James but he is overwhelmimg favourite for his match, best prices per oddschecker are:
Wardy 1.5 Oli 3.94 Josh 3.25 Andy 1.06 Jamie 9.0
Anyone prepared to take that price on Wardy ? Seems very short even if his opponent can't play on grass. Reminds me a bit of when Bloomers won his match several years ago against an Argentinian, when the disparity on rankings was again huge
Hmmm. Roddick likes Wimbledon. I watched him play last year. He is still pretty impressive. Think I saw him beat Andreas Beck (but not absolutely sure about that).
I'd like to know that as well, we have tickets for Court 1. Unfortunately I have to leave home at lunchtime today to get there, and I don't think the OOP will have come out by then.
The full schedule normally comes out around lunchtime - earliest I can recall it (over the past decade) was around 12.30 and latest 3pm. However the Centre/Court 1 schedule may well get tweeted earlier
