Nice to see a Brit seeded as high as 6th in a European Challenger again

L32: (6) James Ward WR 137 v (WC) Marco Cecchinato (ITA) WR 507

Cecchinato has been thrashed by Dan Cox and also beaten by Morgan Phillips this year, so not a bad first match of the year on the devil dust. Bolelli is the other seed in his quarter.

L32: (6) James Ward WR 143 beat (WC) Marco Cecchinato (ITA) WR 511 by 3 & 4

L16: (6) James Ward WR 143 v Simon Greul (GER) WR 221 (CH 55 in 2010)

In the first of this year's Rome clay court Challengers, Greul beat Gulbis (well, doesn't everyone? wink) and went on to reach the QFs. Hopefully James can stop him doing the QFs bit again!
