The winner does play Hradecka, after the Czech girl made a meal out of beating Czink, when it looked she would cruise to an easy straight sets victory. Laura is first up tomorrow at 3pm GMT but it isn't on the Bet365 court so there will be an anxious wait for the result.
Tennis Canada have just RT'd soneone at Bouchard's management company Lagardère: "Congrats on your win today @geniebouchard over Robson...so happy you are healthy!"

Yep I just saw that, it was Bouchard's agent who congratulated her.
Well it was always going to be a tricky match against her best buddy, but still disappointing. Did seem a little bit strange to be playing this tournament in the first place and maybe wasn't prepared enough for her first match on clay.
And then I see Luke Bambridge sticking the knife in a little by congratulating Bouchard on twitter.

Yes, that plus Bouchard (just a few weeks younger than Laura) is clearly a very good prospect. I did think Laura would have too much for her today though.

Banter of the week? (aka anything to make this thread a bit less depressing)
In case you aren't following both Oli and Luke on Twitter, this exchange between them gave me a couple of laughs (first for the hashtag, then the pic):
Soon after I tweeted, Luke tweets: "Great result today @geniebouchard #BigFight"
Oli tells him off: "@LukeBambridge40 that was a pretty patriotic last tweet mate! #britsb4chicks"
Luke counters with: "@oli_golding OH I'm not patriotic now? yfrog.com/h2tr6wlj"
