Are you allowed to win 2 matches in a row if you're 40? Tyres burnt in the distance yesterday as matches began- clearly a warning sign to get your first serve in on a quick surface.
FQR: Gregory Howe UNR lost to (q4) Alexander Lazov (BUL) WR 1248 by 0 & 1
L32: (6) James Marsalek WR 686 v Roberto Marcora (ITA) WR 729 - Tuesday L32: Matthew Short WR 821 v (3) Michal Schmid (CZE) WR 440 - Monday
James is playing the Italian who beat him in the semis this week but just missed out on a seeding this time and is in the same quarter as top seed James McGee (IRL) WR 362, so not a good draw for either Brit.

I should hope so! Not least because it would be great to see you back on the rankings again - without you or Nick Lester on the rankings any more, the oldest Brit with a singles ranking is Bloomers at a ridiculously young 28!

Delighted to see Mr Howe winning a match. And well done to the doubles pair for defeating the top seeds. Curious, though, that the ITF is holding an event in Bahrain at this point. Wonder what the ethics of that one are.
