The increasingly barmy ITF  have just RT'd my silly tweet about this which went:

It now appears, temporarily at least, on their homepage ...

I imagine Phil was referring to the fact that she had to play 2 very long matches. Whether that's heroic or (since she was the top seed in her section) just making life harder for herself than it needed to be is anybody's guess. LOL

At least she got through, not a great draw for her though.

Still, good that she got through to the main draw  Tough looking task in R1 if Aamczak fit and well, but clearly there could be some doubt about that.

 I thought Fitzy deserved some well earned praise, having not managed to just qualify the last couple of weeks. Gone all that way just to be beaten in the FQR, must be a tough one to take. Maybe minor hyperbole, but on this occasion I thought it was deserving.
