Josh Ward-Hibbert

Just in case anybody subscribes to The Times, is prepared to cough up a quid for a day's access to the web site or can get to a library which still offers a selection of daily papers (or at least what used to be the broadsheets), there was a lovely article by Neil Harman (OldEchoMan when he posts on this site) about JWH's potential which draws parallels with the early stages of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's career ("Ward-Hibbert has the firepower to make the rarest of breakthroughs").  Well worth a read, IMHO... wink

An interesting article in the Daily Mail about Josh and his life before, during and after tennis:

Nice to see Josh W-H dunking those slams (or slamming those dunks, or whatever they do )

Looking good, JWH.

(Maybe a mod could put this in the individual threads? Tx)

What a talent, he should have gone to college in the states playing tennis and then walked onto the basketball team.

Not sure quite what role he's in, but Josh Warrd Hibbert was at Surbiton today, with an official tag round his neck, and hanging out with Liam, Evo, Colin Beecher etc. etc.

Interesting.....

Glad to see him in tennis in some shape or form, even if only visiting.

From the tweets I saw, he was just visiting.  Last I saw he was still going great guns for the Leicester Riders in the basketball league.

Non tennis related. But flicking through the channels this afternoon I caught some of the British Basketball League Cup Final on Sky. Josh was playing for the London Lions. Had a good game from what I watched. So Basketball does seem to be treating him well. His team howe ended up losing the final.

Ditto.  Was channel hopping and as I flicked on that channel, they mentioned his name, so I ended up watching the rest of the match.

Josh was playing tonight still for the London Lions and helped them to win the regular league championship. The Lions are head and shoulders the best British team at the moment. Playing in European competition meaning they have had an extra 20 games compared to their domestic rivals. Although this has helped them put together a very good roster in terms of British standards.
