I quite honestly don't see any real reason, just because we are a few months past October ( apparently when the waiting time was up ), and Jo having giving indications to anyone that she has spoken to that this was still her intention, and was on track, that this will not be happening

I remember an exchange on Twitter between someone from here (philwrig?) & one of the players (Tara?) a few months ago saying JoKo had actually applied now that she had fnished the waiting period, so I keep hoping every Monday that she will suddenly appear as GB on the new ranking list!
I'm sure the bureaucratic process takes its time, and who knows how long it then takes for the WTA/ITF to make the change even after citizenship has been granted.

When I spoke to her last July, she said she was actually going to get her passport in October. I didn't take that as come October I will be able to apply for citizenship. Now how long it would take for the authorities to issue somebody like Jo with a passport, and then subsequently get the ITF to ratify it and update her status I'm not sure, but I certainly would have expected it to have happened by now. My best guess is that there has been another glitch and that that might actually be it. I would love to be wrong and yes hopefully one Monday she will appear as a Brit on the rankings list. A player with undoubted talent and potential, and even more importantly from what I could tell at Wrexham a very professional attitude it would be a real shame if the citizenship process did finally reach a deadend.
