Elena Baltacha will be in the main draw here but Anne is likely to be the first Brit to play a match in a 2012 event:

QR1: (q1) Anne Keothavong WR 72 v (wc) Emily Fanning (NZL) UNR

4th on Centre after 20.30 GMT (NZ is GMT +13 at the moment)

Fanning is 16 years old and is world junior no. 55. She is listed as ambidextrous by the ITF and plays single-handed off both sides.

As mentioned on the entries thread, Heather had to withdraw from qualifying with an ankle injury, while Naomi was half a dozen places out of qualifying.

Sounds like an interesting match. I've often wondered if there was a truly ambidextrous player out there, and what their game would be like.

Nicolas Rosenzweig, the Scottish based French player is truly ambidextrous. He hits a right handed forehand when it's on his right side, a left handed forehand when it's on his left side and on the deuce side he hits a right handed serve and on the advantage side he hits a left handed serve.

Match before Anne's is currently on with Oprandi a set and a break up on Etimova. 8 breaks of serve in 12 game, yip the WTA is Back!

According to bet365, Anne is 1/33 for this match!!!! Shortest odds ever for a british woman?
