Following tennis is far easier now than a decade or so ago when I first became interested. Then it was as though tournaments were to be held in secret and various obstacles were put in the way and whoa betide anyone who wanted to know results or where and when players might be playing.
Though things have improved a great deal from the organisations this site still provides a valuble role in my opinion and, as we approach the festive season, a Merry Christmas and my sincere thanks to all who contribute.
A special thanks, I am sure echoed by everyone to Steven who contributes so much. I dont know where you find the time, I'm just glad that you do! Another mention from myself for David C (the junior game), Peter too (the ladies) and Seagull for posting the entrants.
To any player who by chance may read this, a very prosperous New Year, it's going to be a good one for GB if the belief usually shown on here is a judge!
And as about the only original member of this site still here regularly, I too would like to add my thanks especially to Steven but also to all the regular contributors. My knowledge of tennis, although spread over many years, is embarrassingly slight but much greater than it was when I joined more than six years ago!
Thie is a very knowledgeable site about all things to do with British tennis and a great place to find out what is going on (the LTA should take note!) so many thanks to those who put in the work to make it so.
I've some particular thanks to add on behalf of a bunch of dispossessed Murray fans. We were made very welcome here (including the inevitible banter) back in August and until we set up our new permanent abode. The generosity shown by Steven (on top of all his other talents!) and David was awesome so thanks especially to you both.
Ditto to what Daisy says! I get so much info from here, it's almost overwhelming! I'm also one of those who took refuge here when Andy's forum closed - in fact I found out it had closed when reading this site (it made me register on this one - been reading without registering for ages!!) But we all really appreciated being made welcome here. Keep up the good work! Happy Christmas everyone! Looking forward to lots of good tennis in 2012. Jan
I can only agree with all the other posters. Great site for information, feedback and discussion. Thanks to all who contribute. Don't post much these days but do access the site all the time and would be lost without it.
Happy Xmas and best wishes to all for a successful 2012.
