L32: Matthew Short WR 816 v (Q) Maciej Smola (POL) WR 962

Smola lost to Jack Carpenter in Poland earlier this year, so a decent R1 draw for Matthew, though the winner is likely to face no. 2 seed Daniel Garza (MEX) WR 376, who won the title last week, or an unranked Dutchman who qualified last week then reached the semis before going out to (shades of Oli's 'luck' of the draw in Turkey!) Garza.

R1:  Matt Short & Ty Trombetta (USA) WR 1880 lost to Daniel Garza & Raúl Isaías Rosas (MEX/MEX) UNR by 4-6 1-2 retired cry

Far be it from me to wish ill of any player, but I rather hope that the retirement was as a result of an injury to Trombetta!

Make that seven!  Garza won by 3 &1. cry   And so endeth the last vestige of British interest in an ITF tournament this week... hmm
