L32: (2) Morgan Phillips WR 478 lost to Richard Waite (GER) WR 755 by 7-6(4) 4-6 7-6(5) bleh
L32: Matthew Short WR 853 beat (Q) Enrico Alonso De Pedro (GER) WR 1630 by 6-3 1-6 6-2

L16: Matthew Short WR 853 v (4) Pablo Martin-Adalia ESP WR 595

Very close in Morgan's match and Waite has reached 1 SF and 2 more 2 QFs in his last 5 Futures, but given his no. 2 seeding, this has to be seen as a big missed chance for some decent points.

Matt & Mike are going like a train in Spain... Having dumped out the fourth seeds yesterday, they proceeded to see off the top seeds today:

SF:  (1) Pablo Martín & Mark Vervoot (ESP/NED) WR 1039 lost to Matt Short & Michael Suleau WR 2399 by 6-7(6) 4-6! biggrin

Final:  Matt Short & Michael Suleau WR 2399 vs (2) Iván Arenas & Jaime Pulgar (ESP/ESP) WR 1192

Will the second seeds be a seeded pair too far for our boys?  Let's hope not.   They certainly had the harder semi today, disposing of the third seeds by 6-4 6-7(5) [10-8]...
