Jamie Baker, Josh Milton & Dan Cox are DAs here. Evo was a main draw DA but withdrew earlier this week and Dan Smethurst was due to play qualifying but ended up having his tonsils out instead if I remember right!
QR2: (q5) Alex Ward WR 500 v (wc) Dmitri Sitak (RUS) WR 905 (CH 356 in 2003) or Sardor Pulatov (UZB) WR 1755
H2H 0-1 v Sitak (2 & 2, Cordoba ESP Fut 2008), 0-0 v Pulatov.
The top seed in Alex's section is (q4) Federico Gaio (ITA) WR 405.

Great R1 draw for Dan, a decent enough draw (with good memories) for Josh and a dire draw for Jamie:
L32: Josh Milton WR 365 v Vishnu Vardhan (IND) WR 370 (CH 312 in May)
H2H 2-0, Chiswick QF 3 & 4 and Roehampton Final 7-6(4) 2-6 6-3 in successive weeks in July/August last year.
L32: Jamie Baker WR 293 v (4) Konstantin Kravchuk (RUS) WR 171 (CH 126 last Nov)
First meeting. Kravchuk reached the SFs in Karshi this week, losing to Istomin. His last meeting against a Brit was a win against James Ward last September.
L32: Dan Cox WR 317 v (WC) Denis Yevseyev (KAZ) WR 741 (= CH)
Yevseyev's last three meetings against Brits saw him drop a set to John Rambotas, lose 1 & 3 to Oliver Golding and lose 3 & 1 to Ashley Hewitt.
Josh is in the top quarter with 8th seed Fabrice Martin and top seed Rainer Schüttler, Jamie meets the top seed in the 2nd quarter in R1 and the winner of Dan's match is likely to play the reason for Sheddie's nickname, 2nd seed Gabashvili, in R2.

Dan's luck keeps getting better, apparently. From @MariyaKTennis on Twitter:
"In WTF player news, 26-year-old Teymuraz Gabashvili is getting injured & losing in the Universiade in China while his ranking free-falls. What's an Universiade, you ask? Exactly."
Of course, we all know what the Universiade is, don't we.

Alex: "Qualified!! Pulled the win out 26 76 63 against Gaio. Not sure there's a better feeling than winning a match after saving matchpoints."
FQR: (q5) Alex Ward WR 500 beat (q4) Federico Gaio (ITA) WR 405 (CH 395 earlier this month) by 2-6 7-6(?) 6-3
Switching to today's rankings (e.g. Vardhan has fallen 78 places, Kravchuk has gone up 12):
L32: Josh Milton WR 364 v Vishnu Vardhan (IND) WR 448 (CH 312 in May) L32: Jamie Baker WR 298 v (4) Konstantin Kravchuk (RUS) WR 159 (CH 126 last Nov) L32: (Q) Alex Ward WR 495 v Riccardo Ghedin (ITA) WR 292 (CH 222 in 2009) L32: Dan Cox WR 317 v (WC) Denis Yevseyev (KAZ) WR 748 (CH 741 last week)
Ghedin won a Futures event in Turkey the week before last, beating Brydan Klein in the Final, but has lost to Edward Corrie in the semis in London the week before. Alex has met him once before, in Ilkley 2 years ago, where Ghedin won 4 & 4.
Jamie: "Last day of practice here in Astana before match tomorrow. Feeling good and looking forward to a tough test. Maybe some footy tennis b4 prac"

Jamie first on the centre court tomorrow at 10.00 local, which I think is 05.00 BST, followed by Alex & Dan. Josh's match is scheduled to kick off no earlier than 11.30 local time, so 06.30 BST, on Court 3.
Jamie raced to *5-1 with kravchuk making a few UE's. Then kravchuk got back to 5-5, and edged ahead to create a mp on Jamies serve. At this point jamie started to play some much better tennis, moving the russian around the court alot more to move back to 8-7. The russian hit an outrageous ace but then jamie created a mini break and finished him off on his own serve winning the tie-break 10-8
