Is all this changing partners doing Jamie any good. Andy does not play doubles at every tournament
I would say that chamging his partner ever week is wrecking his career and that he is now reliant on Andy playing with him in a few big events to prop up his ranking. Half of his current points are from 3 events (2 X ATP 500 and 1 masters series) where he has played with Andy.
Olympics is a whole year away anyway! It seems Jamie holds a false ranking when all his best results are alongside one of the best players in the world. Must be very annoying for someone like Skupski who is struggling to make ATP cuts and Jamie can just enter a Masters Series whenever he wants.

I wonder if that's another reason why he doesn't seem to be able to get a regular partner - i.e. that they think that given the chance to play with Andy, he won't think twice before deserting them. Whether that's true/fair or not, I don't know, but if the other players think it, that's probably enough to put some of them off.

Well his track record isn't too good either. Booty has gone on to have a much better career after Jamie supposedly 'dumped' him and Mirnyi has gone on to win major titles while he struggled to remain in the top 30 whilst playing with Jamie.

That's why I said "another" reason ...
The thing is, from what I've seen, he's not a bad doubles player at all (perhaps not the best in Britain, but decent enough), it's just that his periodic access to Andy (and his head getting turned by 'better' offers while he was with Booty, which may also have had something to do with him being Andy's brother, who knows) seems to have hindered his career more than it has helped it, to the extent that he now needs to play with Andy from time to time to have any chance of keeping his ranking up.

Let's face it Jamie is arguably a better mixed doubles player than mens doubles player and so his doubles ranking gives him the opportunity to attract a top womens singles player with which to played mixed at the slams.
Still dont think he should be playing Davis Cup with Andy. A fit Fleming/Hutchins should be the team. Andy moans about playing three matches so he should step out of the doubles. jamie is overranked in doubles. I still haven't got over the laugh of him playing serve volley on clay in Edinburgh against Flanagan all those years ago
