Just noticed that there's a Ulysses Ryan-Flynn in the Q draw - possibly the best tennis name ever!

Good chance for Chris to make some more points carrying on from the grass futures. Not sure why more not opting to make the short trip over to Dublin
Will be interesting to see how fast the carpet is there, probably depending on how long theyve been there for, the older the quicker

Mr Seator and Mr Howe are both playing. Best of luck to both.

All GB and/or UNR unless otherwise stated - it's good to see Edward Seator back, but if I remember right he lives in Ireland now, so I assume it's a one-off.

QR1: Nikolai Snapes beat David O'Hare (IRL) by w/o
QR1: Joshua Miller beat Edward Seator by 4 & 2
QR1: Gregory Howe lost to Mark Bowtell (IRL) by 7-6(4) 6-2
QR1: Joe Mills beat Connor Schelling-Tisza by 3 & 1
QR1: Harry David Meehan beat Mark Carpenter (IRL) by 7-6(4) 6-7(3) 6-3
QR1: Sizya Ernest Kivanda lost to George McGill (IRL) by 2 & 3

FQR: (q1) Tom Farquharson WR 1256 v Alan Gleeson (IRL)
FQR: Joe Cooper v (q2) David Pel (NED) WR 1671
FQR: (q3) Stefan Sterland-Markovic v Fabio Molle (IRL)
FQR: (q4) Keelan Oakley WR 1777 v Nikolai Snapes
FQR: Joshua Miller v Julian Bradley (IRL)
FQR: Joe Mills v Mark Bowtell (IRL)
FQR: Harry David Meehan v George McGill (IRL)

Results are from @Tennis_Ireland, though they are only tweeting results involving Irish players at the moment - nevertheless, a good service for their home fans.

Very good to see the organizers doing a really good job at keeping the public updated

I remember when there was always a challenger around this week in Dublin, i presume it was in the same place? Shame to see it go/drop down to a future, but nevertheless, putting in a good effort into the week it seems still!

Yes, I think it was, but sadly the Irish Open (which claims to be the second oldest tournament in the world) has been downgraded to a Futures event these days.

It's good to see the organisers realising that twitter is a quick and painless way to keep everyone up to date, even during qualifying.

So 5 out of 12 Brits come through qualifying compared to just 1 out of 13 Irishmen.
