Not a bad draw in all honesty.

2 guaranteed Brit wins which should be won by Baker and hopefully Golding.

I expect Boggo (Knittel WR 196) and Broady (Di Mauro WR 153) to win

Unfortunately Smethurst (K.Beck WR 131) and good grass-courter A.Ward (Harrison WR 122) will get beat.

4 out of 8 would be good.

Two all-GB QR1 matches, not a bad QR1 draw for Boggo but he has a top 100 French player in his section again, a horrible draw for the Wardinator and pretty horrible for the other two as well.

Di Mauro is hopeless on grass, avoids it like the plague

You may want to correct di Mauro's ranking. He might be a little upset at you for demoting him by 1,300 places wink

According to the ATP site he has only every played 3 matches on grass, winning just 1 of them.

I am sure it won't surprise anyone to know that his only grass court victory came against a Brit. He beat Goodall in R1 if Wimbledon in 2005 then lost to Kiefer in R2. The following year he lost to Alberto Martin in R1 and hasn't played on grass since.

With 7 brits there was a good chance of at least 1 all British tie and frankly we should be greatful. At least 2 of our guys are assured of getting something.
