Week 24 - WTA Premier series - AEGON International, Eastbourne ($618,000) - grass

Someone with a bit more savvy about these things than I will no doubt already be able to fill in a few of the many blanks in my knowledge! ashamed  There's bugger all about the draw at the moment on the LTA site (surprise, surprise!  ) & the WTA one isn't much better, but I think it's fairly common knowledge that The Sisters will be back in action next week & I read in The Times this morning that Bally had been given a wild card. wink

Serena and Bally are the only WCs that have been announced so far, I believe, though I assume the other players who have got them do actually know by know - you';d hope so anyway! The draw is at noon on Saturday.

Interesting!  Thanks, Steven.  The LTA must have got its act together quite quickly for once.  None of that was available when I started the thread.  All I could see was information about tickets & hospitality! hmm

Ah yes, well spotted Jajon - I didn't put 2+2 together when I saw that tweet. I guess she could have said it intending to get in through qualifying, but more likely it means she has got a WC, and she's a fairly obvious pick.

Cool. Bit of a Cornet fan so that will be a fun match. I'll be there tomorrow - hope the weather is better than Queen's today.

Actually it's Katie, Anna and Naomi all in the same section whilst Emily is in the same section as 4th seed Arn.

Interesting draw.

Only hopes for wins i'd say were Anne, Naomi and Emily.

If Anna hadn't had that injury break mid-season by now i think she'd be in with a shout but hey, she can give her a good match
