Week 23 - Challenger - Nottingham - €64,000 (grass) - doubles

Again, a good few Brit challengers ( wink ) for the doubles Challenger title this week (though different top seeds, as Col & Ross were handed a WC for Queen's smile & there's been quite a game of tennis's version of musical chairs with the partnerships!), hence another separate thread.  And surprise, surprise, the draw's not yet up on the LTA site, but is available courtesy of the ATP! disbelief  R1 matches involving Brit pairings:

(1) James Cerretani & Philipp Marx (USA/GER) vs (WC) Dan Evans & Josh Milton

(WC) Richard Bloomfield & Tim Bradshaw vs Frank Moser & Andreas Siljeström (GER/SWE)

(4) Yves Allegro & Jérémy Chardy (SUI/FRA) vs (WC) Richard Gabb & Toby Martin

Michail Elgin & Dudi Sela (RUS/ISR) vs (2) Jamie Delgado & Jonny Marray

Good to see Jonny back in harness with Jamie. smile

Delgado and Marray's place in the draw has been replaced by alternates. Such a shame that their grass season is being recked by (apparently) Jonny's niggling injury. Not sure if they will get a wild card into Eastbourne as Hutchins/Fleming didn't make the cut and Skupski didn't enter.

Edit: Just seen Skupski is in s-Hertogenbosch with Haase.

NOOO  !     From  8 - 3  and then 9 - 5 up  ( with 4 MPs  ! )  they lose the MTB   11 - 9.

Ahh, for a number of reasons I am sure I was not alone in really wanting Richard to get another win here   cry

You ain't wrong there, Indy:  when they had the MPs, I began thinking in terms of a post along the lines of the win being a bloody good - & well-deserved - kick in the teeth for TPTB in charge of the awarding of Wimby wild cards...
