Week 23 - ATP 250 - AEGON Championships, Queen's Club

The first of two rounds of qualifying is well under way with 8 Brits trying to join wildcards Oliver Golding, James Ward and Dan Cox (plus Andy Murray, if fit) in the main draw.

The cut was higher than I expected, meaning only Alex Bogdanovic, Morgan Phillips, Josh Goodall and Chris Eaton got in by ranking. George Morgan, Sean Thornley, Marcus Willis and James Feaver have been given wildcards

Alex leads Eysseric 6-0 4-4*

Josh is 5*-6 against De Schepper

Morgan P is 5*-4 against Wolmarans

Sean took a 6-3 lead in the tiebreak only for George to save 4 set points and then convert his first match point of the tiebreak to win 6-1 7-6(7). A vital win for George considering he lost last match from matchpoints up and here had 13 breakpoints to 1

Josh saved at least one break point which would have left De Schepper serving for the match and is at 6-5*

Morgan had 3 breakpoints to enable him to serve for the match, but Wolmarans saved them (5*-6)

Chris Eaton and James Feaver have just started (1*-2)

I'm off for a while so over to someone else

Josh had a set point on his own serve but blew it, still set point to him.

'Twill be Smyczek, who took the second set by 6-3 to level the match & the third by 6-1 to win it!
