Tara Moore and Jo Konta have opted out of the British grass court tournaments this week to play in Denmark. Jo comes here on the back of a first round defeat in Prerov this week, but has been rewarded with a reasonable draw. Tara faces a tough opener. though

QR1:   MOORE, Tara (GBR) WR348 v (3) BARTHEL, Mona (GER) WR187

QR1:   KONTA, Johanna (AUS/GBR) WR334 v (WC) GRAGE, Mai (DEN) WR925

Play starts at 9am BST with Jo 3rd on Centre and Tara 7th on court 1

When I checked the H2H for Tara's match, I was amazed to find it was 1-0 - she beat Barthel 5 & 1 in the Frinton 10K Final in 2008!

Jo won 1 & 3 - she'll play (4) Mariya Koryttseva UKR WR 198 (CH 50 in 2008) in qr2 tomorrow, who has just this minute beaten Guskova 2 & 2.

Well done to Jo. 

For a player wanting to become a British citizen she does seem to hardly ever appear on a British teenis court.  Her choice I guess  smile
