QF: FOSTER, Manisha WR 833 v CLARKE, Yasmin WR 1010
They played twice in qualifying for ITFs in the UK last year, Yaz (who, btw, will be back in the top 1000 and on the GB Top 25 table after a long absence after today's win) winning both in 3 sets.

Well, she's won at least 2 matches at all 4 tournaments she's played in the last 12 months (with a bit of help from an LL in one case) - it will be interesting to see how she progresses. I doubt there's many others that have.
As I mentioned on the other thread, she'd make a good QWC for the 100K at Nottingham - she'd probably be high enough to make the cut anyway if they used next week's rankings.
The 6th sense academy in Limelette has only been around since 2007 and there's a press report from 2008 saying Manisha was training in Edgbaston at that stage, so it can't have been more than a couple of years. IT may be very recent indeed because I don't remember seeing reports about her on the Limelette site from before this year, but then again it's only this year that she's started winning matches regularly in ITFs.
I've only been able to find one video of her in action - and she's doing something I'm actually very 'good' at LOL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS4j6VWO3Lw (I'm pretty sure it is her, comparing with the pics on the Limelette site)

Could she enter Junior Wimbledon? Would be fun to see how she compares at 17.
Manisha has entered Roehampton, despite not having played juniors for a year. That's a good sign that she wants to play Junior Wimbledon. She'll need a wildcard for both, and I expect one will be forthcoming given that we are rather short of girls with the sort of results that give a strong case for a main draw wildcard at present.
