There is a (sometimes) live stream running on Tara's court. The match before Tara's has just ended.

Is that the main court? Not only is there about 5 people watching, it looks like the is only one bench where people can watch.

Certainly as a venue it doesn't compare to Indian Harbour Beach which is also a 50k. On the other hand, these are the only two 50k venues I've seen so I don't know which one is more typical.

The quality of the court doesn't always relate to the value of the event for the ITF circuit. e.g. Bournemouth is one of the best-looking UK venues and its only a 10K tournament, mainly because its near an area where every house is a £1m+ mansion most with their own pools and/or tennis courts in the garden so probably takes in quite a bit in membership fees.

Similarly the Indian Harbour beach streaming is actually local TV coverage - this is a web cam provided by the tournament organisers.

They aught to increase the value of the Bournemouth tournament. It's a very nice venue and the tiered seating in the main court could probably seat a few hundred people.

Do you know if they used the main court more this year? I went last year and I don't think it was used beyond the quarter-final stage.  It would be nice to use it for the finals although I guess with it being the furthest away from the clubhouse it would attract less casual fans who have just gone to use the club's facilities and not specifically to watch the tennis.

The edinburgh centre court is awesome and seats several hundred. Not been full for a long time though, don't think since Karen v Amanda a good few years ago.

And no, Tara wasn't on the main court. Centre court also has a stream which is a little intermittent!

She made a bit of a hash of the first set but the other girl wasn't very good, so thought she did a good job steaming through the second.

A post on TF says Tara won 7-5 6-1.

The tournament website is showing some scores, but not Tara's (yet).

Tara is second on court 2 following Georgatou-Kustova, which starts at 8am BST. There may or may not be a stream and live scoring via the above website

Georgatou-Kustova is getting streamed at http://www.openst-gaudens.fr/en/live/77-live-court-nd1 so there doesn't seem to be any reason why Tara's match won't be streamed too. smile.gif
