This tournament should see the return of Laura Robson, assuming she doesn't re-injure herself off court (Mel South, also a DA here, tweeted "Driving around on a golf kart and quad bike. Watch out for the trees laura!!!" LOL), while Tara is the top seed in qualifying:
QR1: (Q1) Tara Moore WR 338 v Whitney Jones (USA) WR 836
Oddly (since she's not an up-and-coming junior by any stretch of the imagination), Jones lost to Nik Slater last year but has beaten Riske WR 117 and Hrdinova, currently ranked in the 300s) this month.

Main draw is out and Laura has a toughie against Falconi, Mel has a winnable match against Buryachok. In the doubles Laura plays with Gallovits and Mel teams up with Joss. Mel plays singles and doubles tomorrow, Laura just doubles.
Close but no cigar for Tara. Laura's match is first up tomorrow at 3pm BST on stadium court. This tournament was covered by Bet365 last year, but there has been no coverage so far this week, so it looks if we are in for an anxious wait.
Not been quite happening for Tara this year as she would have hoped.
She will still be probably knocking on her CH after this week, but she has had very liitle to defend pointswise in the first 4 months of the year. That's going to become more of an issue, particularly once we get into the 2nd half of the year when she had a string of decent points gathering weeks last year.
I hope it does come together, because I wouldn't like to see her falling backwards again.
Not a good day all round for the GB women - five of our top 15 played on Tuesday, four lost to lower-ranked players and the fifth (Elena) lost to someone ranked only slightly higher, while in Bournemouth FQR and MD combined, all 5 wins came in all-GB matches and we were 0-5 in the other matches.
