According to Mel, Tara lost 6-2 in the third which looks a somewhat disappointing loss, but clay really doesn't suit Tara's gamestyle.

Decent draw for Mel against an American wc Pegula, and its on the livestream at around maybe 5pm.

Livestream is here: http://www.livestream.com/wtvy

Czink is making short work of Dabrowski at present (going for way too many low % shots), so may not be too long!

For a 1994, Pegula has a pretty strong record - was a finalist in the 25k on clay at Lutz in Jan, has beaten Hendler, Boserup & MLDB this year, pushed Malek & Tomljanovic to 3 in the last few weeks, so could be a tricky one for Mel. Really interested to see how she does in her first clay tournie outside RG in 5 years tho! Cmon Mel :)

I agree having had a look at Pegula's record I might even make her the favourite to beat Mel. A win here would a top effort by Mel on a surface she has very little experience of playing on.

2-2* very tight so far Mel had 0-30 in one game, my forecast is this match could go the distance.

4 points on the bounce from 30-0 leads to a first break for Mel, Pegula does have a tendency to make alot of UE's.

I'm back from tea, Mel just got broken at start of second set having had 2 game points, just seemed to get a little tight.
I'm assuming Mel won the first set.
0-1* 0-30

First set score I think was 6-3 with a double break.
*0-2 in second
