It is now more than a year since Georgie last competed and she has finally dropped out of the rankings. tears.gif

However someone did say that she is training again, so hopefully we may see her playing again before too long.

Would be great to see Georgie back.

Just yesterday in the Miami thread Steven listed the points the women had scored up to this time this year and last year.

Last year Georgie was GB's 6th top points gatherer up to and including Week 12 and it is such a pity that she has added no more since and as you say has now dropped out of the rankings.

I don't, but she's just gone on Twitter today (she suddenly appeared on my followers list, and since the pic is clearly her and not a tennis-playing one off the net and Alex Ward was her first follower, I think it's safe to assume it's really her) ... @Gp_gent

Amazing to think she was top 200 and GB no. 5 just 3 years ago.

I haven't waded in with an immediate "are you making a comeback soon" ... best to give the poor girl a decent chance to get used to Twitter madness first!

I had a nice conversation with her at Notts, where she explained the ins and outs of her injury etc.,. Safe to say though that she will make every effort to get back to where she belongs and I don't doubt that at some stage it will happen. Not sure if it is commom knowlegde but there is a reason why Alex was her 1st follower ;)
