Laura will most likely be seeded this week, due to a weak entry list, so good chances to gain a decent haul of points.

Glad to see some of the boys heading out to China was a decent points haul for Coxy & Milton for the two weeks they played there earlier in the year (29 points), looking for more of the same when Evo, Milts and A.Ward head out

Busy week indeed.  That current list of men's entrants above is basically every one of GB men's ranks 2 through to 17 !

Milton/Ward stay in Thailand while Evo is off to the $15K in China.

KOB and Broady make main draw in Johannesburg as does Gregory in Brazil!

Laura has withdrawn from Korea crycry  This implies, to me, that her retirement in China was due to injury, rather than illness. Bad news eh?

What worries more is the haste with which it was done, i.e within hours of todays match finishing.
I would have thought they might have taken a scan and then reassessed the situation. The only brightside I can see, is that she will miss assuming she is only out for a while, playing on her least liked surface.

Andy M has been given a WC for Monte Carlo

Hmm. Not too sure about that - I thought the surface at Monte didn't suit him? Even more than the usual red dirt, that is?

Another R1 loss wouldn't do much for his confidence!

Interesting, MC was where I'd say Andy plunged to last year's final depth against Kohlschreiber before starting to turn things round during the clay season.

The crowd I recall were not uniformly appreciative of his efforts to land the ball inside the white lines of their fine courts  hmm.gif

Seemed a fair programme he had originally : clay court practise, then Barcelona, Rome, Madrid and Roland Garros.

Guess we can just wait to see how it goes...

Just had a thought that Andy taking a WC for Monte Carlo could mean every one of GB's top 17 men in action next week, which I would have thought might possibly be some sort of record.

But seems Morgan Phillips withdrew from Spain future.  Boo !
