I remember seeing Bally's pics of the setting for this tournament last year - it really is 'beautiful' as Heather just tweeted.

Sometimes it isn't only about the 'winning'. Our three top girls all playing in this amazing environment - got to be good for 'the soul' ?

Not easy but certainly possible for both girls to qualify.
I get the feeling Heather loves the big events, judging from her tweets she seems really pumped for this one.
I would make Heather marginal favourite for her first match and also for her next match if she wins this first one.
On the other hand I am worried about Anne, not sure she's in love with the game as much as she used to be. A tricky first round match against an opponent with a big future who has just won a 25k event. Potential upset.

Anne's match should be starting soon. 16yr old Madison Keys has just beaten Junri Namagata ranked at least 350 above her !! (she's a year younger than Laura)

Here's hoping this is not to be typical of matches on this court. Anne's opponent is 17 and ranked 429 !!!

Very dangerous match. Puig is the Junior number 3 was the AO Runner up, Won the G1 event the week before AO, RU in the Yucatan World Cup and reached the Semis at the Orange Bowl

Heather's match should start soon. Previous match had gone to 3 but ended in a retirement. heather tweeted about an hour ago that she was ready and waiting to go on, so glad she didn't have to wait much longer.
