Turns out to be ok after all - they've both got unranked qualifiers:
L32: Myles Blake WR 873 v (Q) Matthew Hicks (AUS) UNR L32: Burnham Arlidge WR 969 v (Q) William Boe-Wiegaard (USA) UNR
Hicks has a CH of 1485 from April 2008 but last qualified for a Futures event in February that year. Boe-Wiegaard is 27, has never been ranked in singles or doubles and this is the first ATP-ranked event he has qualified since May 2009.

Aldridge is quite competent on grass from what i can remember, He beat Bruges-Davi in qualifying last year in a tournament, where i suspect most of these guys will never have experienced playing on the grass
True it is and I am delighted for Burnham. He only has 8pts to his name (4 of which drop off in the next 3 weeks) so to collect another 8 here will be a massive boost. His 2nd semi I think, his first at 15k level.
