There will be live streaming on center court all week so lets hope the tournament organiser takes a liking to the brits and puts all their matches on there :D
Presuming that Court 1 is Center court, then we will have Slabbas first round on the stream tomorrow at 2.30 german time so i make that 1.30 here. Also in action is Bloomers first round and the Slabba/Eaton dubs match later on in the day on other courts.
I had been thinking last week's efforts by the LTA, with fairly quick twitter results from Sheffield and Wrexham last week, were a great improvement on before, such as the black hole of Loughborough last year.
But when you hear the likes of this, it still puts these efforts into perspective.
You gotta love the German association. Great website, streaming of almost every tourney down to 10k level, fast results.
I think it has less to do with the association, more to do with the individual clubs. German tournaments tend to be hold at local clubs with plentiful volunteers, rather than in GB where they're mostly held at tennis centres, which tend to be pay-and-play. Tennis is also a much bigger sport in Germany, vastly more people play and watch (the latter being key) than in GB - hence their appreciation for fans both at the tournament and worldwide. I definitely attritube differences to cultural differences first and foremost.
