AEGON British Tour 2011 thread

The British Tour starts 2011 in Billesley, with a lot of world-ranked Brits taking the chance to dust off the cobwebs before the first set of GB Futures starts the following week. This makes it ridiculously strong for a BT, with the seeds set to be:

1/357 Richard Bloomfield
2/363 Daniel Evans
3/399 Joshua Goodall
4/512 Alexander Slabinsky
5/557 Sean Thornley
6/856 Nicolas Rosenzweig (FRA)
7/1023 Chris Priddle
8/1079 Andrew Fitzpatrick
9/1107 Liam Broady
10/1341 David Baxendine
11/1341 Marshall Tutu
12/1388 Tom Farquharson
13/1396 Kyle Brassington
14/1507 Oliver Hudson
15/1583 Keelan Oakley
16/1628 James Marsalek

Liam Broady is through to the quarter finals. Hopefully he will win and pocket £750 of the LTA's money. Luke Bambridge is out.

Not a very encouraging start for Josh but a very good scoreline for Fitzy over the former Eddie Herr winner.

Congrats to Fitzy, but something must be seriously wrong for Luke to be double bagelled like that.

Not had internet for a few days.
played a pretty near perfect match against luke and i dont think there was much he could do, there wasnt so much wrong with him, it was just a case of he caught me playing ridiculous tennis.

Today i play this morning against slabba, played really well again continuing the form.
But i seem to have cracked a rib of seriously hurt my side as i couldnt breath properly, and reach up.
Every time i did it was absolute agony, i tried to play through a set with broady but i couldnt serve and could just about hit ground strokes, had to stop.
In quite alot of pain now and i will be going to the doctors to see what exactly ive done....brilliant timing ehy....

in response, keelan was striking it ok. he doesnt he the ball that clean and tries to go big off to many shots. He is pretty quick around the court though.

Hope you recover quickly Fitzy - Cracked ribs (if that is what it is) are an absolute devil and pretty much always take longer to recover than the 6 weeks they say.
