An important result for Boggo, as it concerns his second-round opponent, should he find a way to beat Bemelmans this time: Berankis (6) is out, beaten 6-4 3-6 6-7(5) by Jerzy Janowicz!
Terrible news, that. I'd much rather play Berankis (who likes outdoor hard most) than Janowicz, even if he weren't out for a few weeks with an injury.
Anyway, it's not like Boggo can't beat Janowicz.
I suspect it's more pretty neutral news in that it looks Jancowicz may have neen more at home here but ultimately they have had a very close match which to me indicates possibly very similar difficulty.
Looks like there may be live scores via the Aachen website, and possibly a stream, although it could also be that they are only for centre ct.
Personally I'm not holding out too much hope for this match as i think last week did take quite a heavy toll on Alex physically. But then you never know with him, before he played Bozo at Queens this year he was in a right state, his neck was locked and he couldn't turn to one side, still produced the goods tho :)
having said that his main concern right now should be staying fit so he can put in a hard slog over the winter break, if he can't train properly then i fear for the consequences next season.
