Good result! I thought they'd have to work harder than that! They will face either the top seeds, Bhupathi & Mirnyi, or, less likely, Travis Rettenmaier & Jamie Murray's erstwhile partner, Dusan Vemic, in the QF.
I notice in the bottom half of the draw that "the Ratis", after being seeded & bombing out early in Orléans last week, have only been & gone & dumped out the second seeds, Lindstedt & Tecau, in straight sets!

Hmm, looks as though alternates had to be drafted in at the last minute, but it doesn't really affect the expected QF draw, as Bhupathi & Mirnyi have just beaten Brian Battistone & Andreas Siljeström (USA/SWE), by 7-6(3) 7-6(3).
Two of the other three QFs have also been settled (with the dangerous Dustin Brown & Rogier Wassen seeing off the Ratis by 10-8 in the MTB!), but it looks as though the boys won't know who their semi-final opponents are until tomorrow. It'll be either the third seeds, Wes Moodie & Dick Norman (RSA/BEL), or the Frog wild cards, Gaël Monfils & Josselin Ouanna, but Monfils is due to play his second-round singles match against Steve Darcis this evening.

Huss and Hutch still don't know who they will play in the semi-finals but in the other half of the draw Marc Lopez and Eduardo Schwank have reached the final.
Monfils and Ouanna have defeated Moodie and Norman. They play Hutch and Huss in the third match tomorrow, right after Monfils has played his singles semi against Tsonga.

The organisers aren't doing their boys any favours, are they? I suppose they were torn between making life easy for the local players & maximising their "gate money" or, if admission is free, the size of the crowd!
