The Big British Tennis Groat Game

To teach myself some website coding, I've written a tennis betting game.

So you can now bet imaginary groats on Great Britain F15 matches in "The Big British Tennis Groat Game"!!!

Woooo!

It's here...  http://akhenaten.site90.com




Hope it's reasonably self-explanatory.

You first need to register - ie. click the "register" button, and enter a username and password.

Then, you start with 1000 groats and can bet any amount on any amount of British players reaching any round.  [You can only bet on British players.]

Just type in your bets, then press the big "Place Bets" button at the bottom of the screen.

And wait and see if you reap in the groats!!



It'd be good if you'd try it out... smile

And let me know what needs improving etc.

I've re-opened the betting now.  I have to close it whilst the matches are being played else you could bet on matches you know the result of!

Here's the leaderboard...

Johnnylad was on for a clean-sweep of winning results until Goodall lost, but still a good show.

Div4 have lost all their money already betting all 1000 groats on Goodall & El Menshawy.

I really don't know what happened to Steven's bets!!  I think he's the only one to have bets disappear, and he's lost the lot.  I'll have a look into it. ashamed

Looks like we've ascertained what went wrong (that's partly what trying it out was for, of course) and Akhenaten's made a change to stop it happening again, so I'll have another go when entries reopen tonight and see if I can get the QF winners right. smile.gif

Looks like it didn't register my secound round bets last night. Whether that was a programming error or user fault I can't say.

I check the results later against what I remember - you never know - I might be glad
