Good to see Lisa having a go at qualifying for a WTA event outside the UK. Her match, against an opponent who also played in Barnstaple (lost to Yakimova) is 6th on, so probably early evening. If successful she'll play the winner of Chanelle Scheepers and Kristina Kucova, which is the match before
That was a turn around! From 5-2 down in the tie break Lisa held both serves and took both Lisa's serves with the help of a DF to go 6-5 up, finally winning 7-6(6).
Lisa races to 40-0 but gets pegged back to deuce, and saving breakpoint, before eventually converting her 7th matchpoint to win 7-6(6) 6-4. She plays Kristina Kucova, who upset Chanelle Scheepers 6-2 in the third. That will be the third match tomorrow (first is at 11am BST)
Very encouraging win considering Lisa's lack of experience in this type of event

That's a pretty good win. I must admit that I wasn't sure that Lisa was yet back in good enough form to take that.
Mijacika is a 23yo with an interesting activity record. Doesn't seem to have been in the top 400 before no activity for 3 years between June 2006 and July 2009 then seems to have stormed back unranked and had got up to WR 265 by the end of November !
Mijacika hasn't performed so well this year, but still a good win for Lisa.
That's a very good looking win for Kucova against Scheepers. On the other hand from a CH of 103 last year, she looks to have had a pretty awful first half of 2010 with some better results lately, generally at 25K level. She's currently ranked WR 245.
I'd make Kucova favourite, but it may just depend on the day, what form both of them are in.
