Mixed fortunes for the Brits in the doubles:

FQR:  Maniel Bains & Trevor Horstmann (USA) lost to (q1) Brett Joelson & Chris Klingemann (USA/CAN) by 0 & 2 cry

Bains out of his depth at Challenger level?

R1:  (WC) Marcelo Arevalo (ESA) & Ashley Watling defeated Brendan Evans & Phillip Simmonds (USA/USA) by 0-6 6-4 [10-7] biggrin

QF:  (WC) Marcelo Arevalo (ESA) & Ashley Watling vs (2) Pierre-Ludovic Duclos & Vasek Pospisil (CAN/CAN)

If perchance the boys get past the second seeds, they'll face the qualifiers, Brett Joelson & Chris Klingemann (USA/CAN), who proceeded to open up the bottom half of the draw by taking out the American fourth seeds, Alex Kuznetsov & Jesse Witten, in the first round & then got a walkover against Nuñez & Sadecky (USA/SUI) into the SF! disbelief
