I'll nick in ahead of the seasoned punners there to say I hope he does so well at the first six of those events that Champaign is the appropriate end to the season

Its a slightly different to his usual, opting to miss both Bratislava and Helsinki. It's not confirmed yet though, so he might swap back. He is planing on spend most of xmas training in Florida so heading over to the states for a final event might not be a bad idea anyway.

Certainly not as strong British presence in Shrewsbury after last year's highly profitable event when Elena beat Katie in the final with other good performances.
Hopes this year look to be on Anne K and Heather with hopefully Naomi B and Lisa coming through.
Yes very poor British turnout for Shrewsbury, in addition no Cav, Mel who are in Australia. Katie,Anna S plying their trade in WTA events in the far east, Bally and Robbo likewise. Some of them will be in India for the CG, so whether they decided to travel back from US that way round who knows. Heather not guaranteed either as she is entered for Challengers in North America same week. I wonder what the LTA think ?Mind you with Lisicki likely to play, realistically no chance to win it anyway, but certainly overall the field could be very weak for a 75k.
Major withdraws mean Willis, Thornley, Gregory, Arlidge make the cut for Wrexham with Willis and Thornley likely to be seeded, heck even Gregory could be seeded if one player withdraws higher up! Likely to have 6 or 8 seeds here with the top 4 being ours
Them Johnny foreigners, I don't think they really like travelling to these Northern outposts. Already been discussed in the Cumberland thread whether they were a bit put off by the name
