R32: Morgan Phillips (3) WR 441 v Sala-Martin de Rueda ESP UNR WC R32: Andrew Gregory WR 821 v Lopez Jaen (2) ESP WR 398
A contrast in draws there! Morgan should really be looking at the QFs or better this week as he doesn't have to play anyone ranked inside the top 1000 to get there. As for Gregory that is a pretty brutal draw.
Morgan's opponent is 34 and had a career high of 282 way back in 2000. He hasn't been ATP ranked since 2005 but is ranked 80 in seniors, having won the Spanish National Seniors Championship (his first ITF seniors event) for the loss of just 13 games in 4 matches last month!

R2 -(3) Morgan Phillips WR 441 v (PR) David Diaz-Ventura WR 1213 (ESP)
After missing the best part of a year Diaz-Ventura is back and looking to continue the Brit Bashing -he has a 9 match winning streak against Brits with his only loss coming to Morgan in 2006.

Apart from his Brit bashing, a CH of WR 394 in December 2008 shows Diaz-Ventura cleartly has decent underlying talent, but he has been nowhere near that form since coming back in April.
He did give out some bakery products in his 1st round win against his fellow Spaniard, but unless he's very suddenly rediscovered his old form it should be Morgan into the quarter finals.
