Like the last four years, I will be covering the Wimbledon qualifying tournament this week at Roehampton, interviewing players for the Radio Wimbledon daily podcast that is available for free download from the official Wimbledon website.
I would like to make the podcast more interactive this time around ... with questions from fans! :)
Obviously, I won't be able to interview every match winner at qualifying - just a few of them each day ... but if there is a player you see on the qualifying order of play who you would like to ask a question (it can be on any topic) I will try to ask it for you and include it in the official Radio Wimbledon podcast!
Qualifying starts this Monday 14 June. Day 1 looks a cracking line-up ... e.g. Dancevic v Mahut, Harrison v Berankis, plus all the Brits in action! So for anyone you see listed, ask away! Please submit your player questions either via this forum thread or if you are on twitter, to my address there: @guy_mccrea
Interviews with Ricardas Berankis, Josh Goodall, Nicolas Mahut and others from day one of Wimbledon qualifying at Roehampton will be in Monday's Radio Wimbledon podcast - available later for free download from wimbledon.org
Need more questions though - slightly surprised we aren't getting more of them from you guys here on the forum - please have a look at the order of play
Someone might want to ask Marsel Ilhan how comfortable he's feeling on the grass, given that he's Turkey's lead singles man in DC at Eastbourne just after Wimbly. And how he feels his form is right now. Both might be handy heads-up prior to the tie.
Feedback from Bernard Tomic, please. In what ways does he feel that he has improved from a year ago? Where does he see himself in two years' time (realistically, not just what his dream is)? You could ask the same questions of Alexandre Sidorenko and Filip Krajinovic too, all youngsters three being variously tipped for the future. It'd be interesting to hear what they say about it, so that'd be great.

I may have missed something over the years but when was Sidorenko ever tipped for great things? I always thought he was just a standard Challenger player.
Just listened to the podcast. When Guy mentioned the British Tennis message board, Josh was probably expecting a question from Vandenburg and about to walk away!
Tipped for the future and tipped for great things aren't necessarily the same thing. I have no doubt he'll be knocking around in future, but whether or not he'll be top ten, who can tell?
He seems a fairly standard Challenger player to me right now too . But he's of interest to people because he's one of the perceived next generation of players, and often gets grouped with others of his generation like Tomic, Krajinovic, Bhambri, Rufin, Dimitrov, Sousa etc. At the least, I can say that his name has cropped up enough to catch my notice, and if he starts having real success in Challengers then it may be indicative of a breakthrough onto the main Tour.
In any case it would be interesting to know what the youngsters think about their progress so far and continuing onwards, realistically. We'll wait and see what happens.
Tempting to ask some choice questions of Ivan Dodig.

@Lady Tigress - Missed out on interviewing Tomic after his win over Yani today so couldn't ask your excellent questions ... but he plays again on Wed against E-R-V (who he lost to in final QR last year) so will try again for you then?
Also, to all: Radio Wimbledon Day 2 podcast now available to download from wimbledon.org :
Keep firing those questions in everyone - here or even better twitter: @guy_mccrea
Wednesday, concerning GB players, I will be looking to follow Whybourn and Cavaday's matches, obviously no GB men left now with Bogo, Evans and Goodall all beaten. Also intending to follow tomic v ERV, Kendrick v Ouanna, Dent, Mannarino, and Levine matches for the Wed podcast. So if you have questions for those guys, please ask away!
Unfortunately I can't think of anything for Levine, despite the fact that he has played some rather interesting matches over the years. As I recall, he was 4-0 up against Rafael Nadal at the Canada Masters first round in 2008 (which certainly made people sit up and pay attention at the time, as this was during Rafa's golden streak of form circa April 2008 - April 2009). And of course he closed out Safin's last match at Wimbledon last year.
I'll wrack my brains for a bit.

Interviews with Dent, Tomic, Niculescu and Whybourn.
@Lady Tigress: your question to Bernard is in there
Thursday is the all-important final day of qualifying! So everyone please let me know your questions - here or more directly to my twitter: @guy_mccrea
Obviously all matches are important and so podcast plans can change - but on the men's side provisionally these are ones I will look to speak to the winners from:
Sweeting v Kendrick, Tomic v Armitraj, DeHeart v Bozoljac, Muller v Ball
But I say again, if you have other players on the schedule you have questions for please still send them, as they may still get in!
