Do you get points for winning a round or is it like ATP where you have to reach the final qualifying round?

I presume Bally and Anne got MDWCs.
None of the tasks impossible but after last week my confidence is low.
Would like Heather to beat Anna on this occasion.

If I'm reading the right line:

1 point for turning up
8 for winning Q1
12 for winning Q2
20 for winning Q3

Anne and Bally have main draw WCs

Cav has clearly decided to concentrate on Wimbledon qualies - she would have made the draw here without a WC

Heather, Anna and Mel are at least in a decent section to have hope of qualifying - though Pironkova who qualified here 2 years ago will be the favourite

Decent draw for Katie against someone who has lost their last 5 matches on grass in straight sets. Similarly for Jos, though Bratchikova pushed Laura in Birmingham. Makarova and Mirza will be the favourites to qualify from their section though.

Looks a lot better than what was on offer at Queens though.
