Noone has any idea what the entry list is for this tournament apart from a chosen few. However we do know that Bally, Katie and Anne are main draw acceptances and won't need a wild card.
Heather will definitely play but might be undercooked on the grass as she has just arrived in this country after graduating in the states. I expect a main draw WC for Heather as playing on Saturday in qualies wouldn't give her enough preparation time.
Last year the main draw wild cards were announced after the qualification players were known so expect them to be announced late again this year.
Having no idea who has entered and who has not the only other information we have is that Laura wants to play in qualifying using her own ranking. If she makes the qualification cutoff I expect her to stick to this plan. However if she doesn't her team might reconsider and take a main draw WC.
Cav will definitely get a main draw wild card as well with Mel/ Anna/ Naomi next up in that order. Lisa, Tara , Joss will get QWCs. 24 hours to wait before we see if I'm correct.
To be fair to MLDB she is much quieter these days but alas her results have stunk since she decided to turn the volume down.
That said, I've lost count recently of the number of (particularly) female players who make so much noise, it's making the game unpleasant/unbearable to "watch". I gave up on Sharapova's match against (if memory serves) Kirilenko at R-G towards the end of last week because I just couldn't stand the racket from BOTH girls!
According to Cav's coach she is heading to Birmingham to play qualies. I am most confused now about who are getting wild cards surely the players already know.
Seems very odd that Mel (down 23 places to 212 on the year so far) has got a MD WC ahead of Cav (up 27 places to 177 and 3 years younger) and indeed that Mel's got one here but Boggo (up 3 places to 160) hasn't got one at Queen's.
However, compared to the Queen's fiasco, these make perfect sense ...

I'm guessing that doubles WCs will go to Laura/Heather (if they need a WC) and after this week's effort Katie/Naomi.
Also, I've noticed Li Na is down as being a wild card on the Eastbourne entry list and today they announced one for Svetlana Kuznetsova. Do you think Li changed tournament, or will there only be two Brit wild cards in Eastbourne?

Jos will probably be frustrated at having to play Krajicek again, after doing so in Nottingham and Birmingham last year. Nice draw for Laura though, as neither seed in her section has much grass court pedigree.
