First despatch of the day from Helki:  she's watching Bally vs Cav:  Bally 4-2 in the first.

Jos Rae 3-2.  No idea whether those games are going with service, though.

Bally's taken the first set by 6-3.  Helki says there haven't been many rallies & Bally definitely has the edge at the moment.

Bally breaks in the eighth game for *5-4 (last point a net cord, apparently wink ).  Struggled a bit to serve out the match, but serve it out she did:  6-3 6-4. smile  Helki says Cav seemed to find a better length in the second set, but 'twas too little, too late by the sounds of it. hmm

Rae/Spears now a set all:  "Spears seems to have worked Jos out.  She's more prepared to approach the net than Jos.  Fingers crossed she can pull it round."

Helki's now having a walk round, so updates on matches on other courts may well follow.
