Phillip Barlow would have made the cut too if not a late withdrawl

Main draw:

Burnham Arlidge (GBR) WR 923 vs. (WC) Michael Grant (USA) WR 1738
Chris Priddle (GBR) WR 1084 vs. Martin Trueva (POR) WR 1209
(5) Richard Bloomfield (GBR) WR 539 vs. (Q) Abdullah Magdas (KUW) WR 1476
(8) Sean Thornley (GBR) WR 662 vs. (WC) Pascal Meis (GER) UNR

Pretty tasty R1 draws to be honest, Grant, Meis and Trueva are all '90s borns, 4/4 too much to ask?!

Was Phillips supposed to be here?

Also worth pointing out in the dubs:

Burnham Arlidge and Chris Priddle (GBR, 2297) play Jannis Liniger and Jarryd Maher (SUI/AUS, UNR) in the first round, and would probably play a half-Brit pair in R2, as Phillip Barlow is partnering Dutchman Mark Vervoort and they're the third seeds, at WR 2262. They'll play Loic Ducourau & Egor Kovalev (FRA/RUS, 2878).

Paul Brown has a WC with Russian Vladislav Dubinsky, and they play Thurner/Waite (GER, UNR) with a probable match against 2nd seeds Boje-Ordonez and Palacios-Siegenthale (ESP) in the second round.

R32: Burnham Arlidge (GBR) WR 923 beat (WC) Michael Grant (USA) WR 1738 6-3 7-5 smile
R32: (5) Richard Bloomfield (GBR) WR 539 beat (Q) Abdullah Magdas (KUW) WR 1476 7-5 7-6 (3) smile

R16: Burnham Arlidge (GBR) WR 923 vs. (Q) David Thurner (GER) UNR
R16: Richard Bloomfield (GBR) WR 539 vs. (LL) Ismael Rodriguez-Ramos (ESP) WR 1767

Good start here, and winnable R2 matches as well - although Arlidge's opponent did beat 6th seed Rumenov-Payakov in the first round, so may not be 'unranked' quality.

Yes, it's the same guy. He'll be appearing on a Brit-Bashing list sometime soon.

Oddly, I'm pretty sure I have, at a Challenger in Sunderland a few years ago!

Edit - oh no I haven't, that was Marcel Granollers-Pujol!

Haha, well then, my suspicions remain un-disproved!

(...that's definitely not a word.)
