She'll be playing a Q or a LL next, so a good chance of making the semis.
Er, Steven, according to my copy of the DS, she'll play either the Italian qualifier, Verdiana Verardi (WR 629), or the WC, also Italian, Anna-Giulia Remondina (WR356), in the QF.

Oops, I meant WC not LL!

Good to see Naomi getting a couple of vicories together in a 50K MD ( Nottingham last year was the last time she did that ).
Edit : And indeed Nottingham is still the last time, since SMC points out the reasonably relevant fact that this isn't a 50K event, duh
Re her career high, currently 183, that was achieved in March 2008, so it is high time ( and more ) that she was passing it.
I know some folk think some others give Naomi a bit of a hard time. But that is very often because we feel that she has the abilities to go much higher and showed such early promise as a professional, entering the top 200 before the end of the 2007 season while still aged 18.
Whatever the reasons for effectively seeming to plateau, and while the illness break was not that long comparately, maybe the effects have been longer, I think everyone here would be really happy if she could start to make a real step-up in performance and reach a higher level.
Need to repel these upstarts Smith, Robson, Broady and Watson
