Jennifer Elie though was after Laura on the entry list so who knows. Wouldn't surprise me though if she misses this one and heads home after a fruitful 3 weeks.

She certainly wouldn't accept a wild card as those are precious in this current year.

Ah ha, I hadn't realised Laura was so close to DE.  She is indeed one place above Elie in the entry list on the ITF site, so may have scraped into the MD and be playing.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Nice to see Katie Gater trying a non-British event. Hope she can have a positive experience.

dabroski did some pretty good stuff at the big junior tournies at the end of last year, so hopefully this can be the start of a decent run for johanna.

Laura did make the main draw:

(4)Monique Adamczak (AUS) v Laura Robson (GBR)
Elena Chalova (RUS) v Q/LL

Number 4 seed, but at least she isn't a clay court specialist. Ironically, Laura made it and Gallovits and Fergurson pulled out! Is she traumatising her opponents that much?

Surprised to see Laura here and Gallovitis not! Full draw is:

(1)Rossana de los Rios (PAR) v (wc)Lena Litvak (USA)
Madison Brengle (USA) v (wc)Alexandra Mueller (USA)

Laura Siegemund (GER) v (wc)Ashley Weinhold (USA)
(6)Ekaterina Ivanova (RUS) v Q/LL

(4)Monique Adamczak (AUS) v Laura Robson (GBR)
Elena Chalova (RUS) v Q/LL

(wc)Julie Ditty (USA) v Q/LL
(8)Anastasia Yakimova (BLR) v Q/LL

(5)Michaella Krajicek (NED) v Tetiana Luzhanska (UKR)
Carly Gullickson (USA) v Julia Cohen (USA)

Alexandra Stevenson (USA) v Q/LL
(3)Lilia Osterloh (USA) v Angela Haynes (USA)

(7)Galina Voskoboeva (KAZ) v Q/LL
Kimberly Couts (USA) v Arina Rodionova (RUS)

Lindsay Lee-Waters (USA) v Q/LL
(2)Evgeniya Rodina (RUS) v Eva Hrdinova (CZE)

Not a terrible draw, though as usual there is little way of knowing how Laura will do so anything will be a bonus. Cant see her repeating her SF run sadly, especially with Yakimova in her quarter

So Laura is here, I was thinking this morning it was slight odds against that she would be here. Quite a tough draw. Adamczak has a very good clay court record and is in average form at the moment. If she can win this one she has Chalova in round 2 most likely who took the last two sets of their only meeting 1 and 0.
