Clay? Uh oh. Is she any good on the crap? One would think it would suit her game but it certainly doesn't suit her nationality!
And I think they are right to do this. Even just winning matches in qualies is just getting her into the habit of winning and then she's facing top 200 players in the main draw. They could easily just ship her off to asia or somewhere where the fields are much weaker and she'll be able to climb the ranks faster but I think they're probably hoping that the more she plays these US tournaments the more comfortable she'll get at this level until she's beating these girls at ease. C'mon Heather!

She's certainly packing the tournaments in at the moment. She's down for two more clay $25K in the next two weeks, both with Laura so hopefully they'll be playing doubles too to get some practice in for the French Open juniors. Still that's next week, let's hope she qualifies today - after all, I expect it is the first clay tournament of the year for a large chunk of the field.
As well as Boserup taking Bally to 3 sets in IW she has also had wins over Mel ( in 3 sets ) and Jade Curtis ( a decisive 2 set win ) this year. Her general overall record though suggests this to be a match that I'd be expecting Heather to win.
I donote though that she beat the no 6 seed here ( and WR 308 ) Duarte of Brazil 6 - 1 6 - 0 in Q2 although Duarte hasn't played much this season. So hope she isn't some fiend on clay
