Yes Naomi B's Q1 win certainly looks more impressive than Naomi C's.

Very winnable Q2 matches for both, but don't look easy.

Giovone is a 19 yo near her CH on her way up, did beat  WR 173 Feuerstein ( FRA ) on her way to a 25K semi in France at the start of last month. Ozegovic is a 24yo who has been ranked as high as 131 in 2007 and also beat a top 100 player last month, Kucova ( SVK ) WR 110, on her way to R16 of a 50K in Germany.

4 ranking points if they win their Q2 matches and reach the FQR where the top seeds in their respective qualifying sections may still await.  They would earn 6 points if they qualify.

Cav's form continues to cause much concern.
Unless something happens dramatically I really fear for her career.
Ever since her time off through illness there has been very little to get excited about and now after a long time of average but nevertheless consistent performances the last month has seen a large dropoff from that below par level.
Her recent strategy appears to be to try and improve her game by gaining more match time experience at British tour level. Not working I'm afraid.
Tutu provided a worrying critique of her current playing level when he saw her wilt in her defeat at Sutton.
Some drastic action needs to be taken in my opinion either to her preparation off the court or possibly a change in coach. If she still hasn't fully recovered from her illness she shouldn't be playing.

Or maybe she is just over-rated on here? I've only seen her play once and am definitely no expert but maybe she has just found her natural level at inside the top 200 but nothing more.

Fair enough Josh I would concur that she is overrated on the bare statistics of her form but over the last month her form has dipped alarmingly from even that level.

Anne getting back on the horse very quickly. Thought she might take another week off.

Yes, these were 2 winnable matches, but on recent form I guess Cav's loss is no great shock though would have thought it would at least have been tighter.  Re Josh's post I really do think she has the ability to at least get in the top 150 ( as I admit could probably be said of others ) but at the moment for whatever resaons she is hardly even looking top 200.

Naomi's FQR against Cabeza-Candella I do think is a very winnable FQR.  I am not sure that one can take that much from seemingly straightforward wins against Daniilidou who even at her best a few years ago, while someone who could really rise and produce greaty performances, could often get quite badly thumped by lower ranked players.  She stuck on my radar as a rather unpredicatable lady and that appears to remain the case, as a quick look at her last year's activity confirmed.

If Naomi plays to her best she can make the Main Draw.

Naomi will probably have to play her best but certainly no huge underdog.

A win would have been great but a convincing scoreline such as 1 and 3 is a huge surprise. Hopefully this is evidence of an improved display by Naomi and not a poor performance by her opponent.

Lets hope for a nice placing in the draw now. I guess Kucova would be the best to be placed against.

Probably right Kucova not in the best of form at the moment. The other three are not playing at their best either.
