I wondered what people here thought of how the DC players will respond after this loss.
Jamie didn't play but, was part of the initial squad. James won a match but couldn't break serve in the 2nd tie. Dan's first match seemed a brave 5 setter, his 2nd the a disappointing one.
How will they bounce back say, up to the Grass starts. Will either pick up some real points as a result of this experience?
Its worth thinking that the Turkey tie will be post Wimbeldon, who is most likely to improve their standing from what it is now to then?????
its hard to say how the players will be effected, Wardy won a match and played ok vs a top 200 guy, the dubs guys won, and Evo lost 2, but can maybe take comfort in the fact that both went to 5 sets. (although he'd have lost both as best of 3 setters too).
however they both have a huge amounts of points to defend prior to the next tie so there could be a strong possibility they will be ranked lower than they currently are.

okie well at least the doubles were a positive. davis cup is anoying in that the time you have to wait for the next tie to come around! after a loss you just wana get back out there and win.
I think jaimie and boggo will play tbh, even if ward improved his ranking to 150, his queens performance on grass still scares me to this day.
